It is a friendly reminder that we are having a very exciting presentation comping up on Monday (December 13) at our weekly call at 6am Pacific Time:

The Industry IoT Consortium (IIC) Edge Computing Efforts by Chuck Byers - Associate CTO - IIC

IIC has been working on edge computing for about five years. When the OpenFog Consortium joined IIC in 2019, our edge efforts were strengthened. We have worked on requirements, reference architectures, standards, best practices, testbeds, product catalogues, presentations and publications regarding edge computing. In this session, we will outline IIC's edge computing efforts, the work of our Edge Computing Task Group, and the many publications and industry best practices we have delivered. We will also describe some of our ongoing liaison work, and several whitepapers on edge computing we currently have in production.

Hi,

Today we concluded the last OpenInfra Edge Computing Group call of 2021!

The December 27th call is cancelled, our first call in 2022 is __January 03 at 6am Pacific Time / 1400UTC__.

In January we will start with doing a short retrospective of 2021 and make plans and set goals for 2022. If you have topics or goals for the group for 2022 to share please share them on this thread or bring them to our next call!

In the process of moving non-OpenStack-specific mailing lists off
the lists.openstack.org domain, the Edge Computing mailing list now
uses lists.opendev.org instead. The list configuration and
subscribers were moved to this new domain, while key redirects and a
forwarding alias for the old list address have been installed in
order to keep existing hyperlinks and replies to messages from
before the move working.

If you have any questions or notice problems related to this change,
please feel free to follow up here on the list or with me directly.
