Hi Everyone,
We are reaching out to inform you about the archival of the OpenInfra Edge Computing Group.
Over the course of the past 8 years, members of the working group have put together 3 white papers, presented at countless conferences and gave interviews in the topic area of Edge Computing.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the weekly calls, contributed to the white papers, added their thoughts to the wiki, or participated in the group's activities in any other way over the years. We've learned new things, helped the open source ecosystem and the overall industry to make better-informed choices when building their infrastructures at the edge and had a lot of fun together.
As most members have been busy with other tasks and responsibilities and "the edge" started to slowly become "just another way of building infrastructure" the working group's activities have slowed down, and it became time to archive it. However, as with all open source projects, the artifacts will remain available online if you need to access them at a later time. You can also reach out on the edge-computing mailing list with any related topic, or if you would be interested in resurrecting the group in the future.
