Hi, As we talked about it this Monday switching back to Zoom from Meetpad has its advantages. We can record sessions as it feels reasonable and Zoom seems to be working better for some of our regular meeting participants as well. Industry IoT Consortium (IIC) session at December 13th

Hi, I’m happy to announce that we will have Chuck Byers, Associate CTO at Industry IoT Consortium (Formerly Industrial Internet Consortium), joining us on our weekly call on December 13th to talk about IIC and their edge efforts. The presentation will be followed by a discussion about the topic including collaboration opportunities. Session details: Title - The Industry IoT Consortium (IIC) Edge Computing Efforts Abstract IIC has been working on edge computing for about five years. When the OpenFog Consortium joined IIC in 2019, our edge efforts were strengthened. We have worked on requirements, reference architectures, standards, best practices, testbeds, product catalogues, presentations and publications regarding edge computing. In this session, we will outline IIC's edge computing efforts, the work of our Edge Computing Task Group, and the many publications and industry best practices we have delivered. We will also describe some of our ongoing liaison work, and several whitepapers on edge computing we currently have in production. Hi, The recent Project Teams Gathering (PTG) event was held last week in an online format. The OpenInfra Edge Computing Group participated with very lively sessions on three consecutive days. Beyond taking notes we also recorded our sessions so people who weren’t able to attend can catch up or those of you who were there can refresh your memories or check parts where might’ve had to step away from the call a little bit.
