August Call // Topic: Outputs
by Emily Lovell 26 Jul '24

26 Jul '24

Hi all, Our next FLOSS Mentoring call will be Wednesday, August 7 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 9pm UTC; this time worked for everyone that completed the last scheduling poll. 🧑‍💻 Here is a direct link to join: https://ucsc.zoom.us/j/99545516517?pwd=RMPRPSo7PbXhWQEPbtooyQcCIpTFiD.1 🗓️ I sent anyone who completed the poll a calendar invite... anyone else please feel free to ping me if you'd like one too :) ✏️ We'd decided that this call will focus on outputs -- meaning, things we might work together to generate as a group, e.g. a web presence/resource hub, funding proposals, surveys, etc… Please help spread the word to anyone interested in joining us! 05 Jul '24

Hi all! Our next call will be Monday, July 15 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET. This was one of the top ranked slots according to the scheduling poll, though I'm sorry it doesn't work for everyone. Here's a link to register (not required) if you'd like the event to add to your calendar: https://ucsc.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0rfu6urzgjGNedP3r3A9q0DYNEDExIfWRZ Here is a direct link to join the call: https://ucsc.zoom.us/j/99697613923?pwd=biHvivzN6YAb3Pb7bgJVQ8DDfK1EGu.1 As a reminder, this call will focus on the mentee/student experience. Please help spread the word to anyone interested in joining our ongoing interest group, as well as students who might be interested in joining just this call to share their experiences! ✨ Hope to see you - and perhaps some of your mentees/students - there :) Emily p.s. A few of us just had a mentorship panel accepted to the upcoming FOSSY conference (https://2024.fossy.us/)… hope to see some of you there, too! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Emily Lovell, Ph.D. (she/her) Postdoctoral Fellow Open Source Program Office (OSPO) University of California, Santa Cruz
