You can turn that off during the meeting; you don't need to manually accept everyone. Which means you can script the API to *automatically* turn it off.
(I haven't done any of the waiting room stuff in the Pidgin Linux client yet though. Patches welcome).
A few features that were useful with Chime and we should probably make sure other clients also support:
- possibility to use it from the browser; we shouldn't force people
to install (yet another) app for the rust-vmm sync meeting
- support for Linux/Mac/Windows
- share screen capabilities
Having the mute button on the headset working in concert with the actual protocol mute is very desirable. If you're muted in the meeting and then you press the button on your headset, that should *unmute* you, not leave you double-muted in both software and hardware.
Works nicely in Linux with Pidgin+Chime; not sure I've seen it working correctly anywhere else.
