Zuul issues in Publishing StarlingX docs
Hi, We are currently experiencing some Zuul issues in publishing StarlingX 8.0 docs on https://docs.starlingx.io/. Any help to solve this issue is appreciated. Thank you, Juanita
Hi, To add further details to my query: A Stx 8.0 docs branch was recently created that does not populate to the docs site https://docs.starlingx.io/. Our Gerrit reviews are merged successfully on the stx8.0 branch, for example, see https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/docs/+/874748. Could this be a disk space issue? See log below. 2023-02-22 21:16:08.931802 | localhost | rsync: [receiver] mkstemp "/afs/.openstack.org/project/starlingx.io/www/update/.buildinfo.HABnsF" failed: Disk quota exceeded (122) Thank you, Regards, Juanita From: Balaraj, Juanita Sent: February 22, 2023 6:31 PM To: service-discuss@lists.opendev.org Subject: Zuul issues in Publishing StarlingX docs Hi, We are currently experiencing some Zuul issues in publishing StarlingX 8.0 docs on https://docs.starlingx.io/. Yes, there was a 1GB quota set for that volume, which you apparently started exceeding. I have increased the quota to 2GB just now and reenqueued both the most recent r/stx.8.0 and master branch changes which merged. Both of those seem to have completed successfully now: https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/builds?job_name=promote-stx-tox-docs-site&project=starlingx/docs Let us know if anything still doesn't seem quite right. -- Jeremy Stanley
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for increasing the disk quota. There still seems to be errors in the Zuul build; https://zuul.opendev.org/t/openstack/builds?job_name=promote-stx-tox-docs-site&project=starlingx/docs and some of the Stx 8.0 pages are not displaying the latest changes, for eg. https://docs.starlingx.io/# Please let us know the next steps. The most recent builds (at the top of the list) indicate they completed successfully. The ones with FAILURE and TIMED_OUT results all have older timestamps, but as long as the most recent change for each branch has a successful promote build that should cover everything that merged before them.
and some of the Stx 8.0 pages are not displaying the latest changes, for eg.

At the moment, the bottom of that page says "THIS PAGE LAST UPDATED: 2023-02-22 19:31:20" which coincides with when the openstack-tox-docs job ran in the gate pipeline for https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/docs/+/873563/ (that's what builds the content which gets published later by promote-stx-tox-docs-site in the promote pipeline). Can you be more specific about what's missing? The cause is almost certainly unrelated to the earlier publication errors, since what was being built from the latest state of the starlingx/docs branches got published successfully after I extended the volume quota. -- Jeremy Stanley
Hi Jeremy, Sorry about that, all looks good now, I had the wrong version drop-down displayed (version 7.0), I selected Version 8.0 from the drop-down and the latest updates are available. Thanks for the help. No worries, I'm glad we got it worked out! In the future, be aware that publication failures like that get reported in comments on their respective changes as well as displayed in that builds dashboard. The promote job started failing on February 8, so we could have fixed this over two weeks ago and not caused you any delays if it had been brought to our attention when it started happening. -- Jeremy Stanley
Thank you Jeremy. I have noted the issue and will monitor the dashboard going forward.
