We don't have plans to support Jenkins as a Zuul executor, and I would recommend against developing a system that does so using gearman, since we're also likely to stop using gearman for Zuul v4.

If you want to retain your investment in Jenkins jobs, I would suggest instead developing a Zuul job which then invokes your Jenkins job. There have been some previous discussions on this mailing list about that, you may want to check the archives.

However, the best option is still to reduce your dependence on any CI system (Jenkins, Zuul, or anything else) by developing your jobs in a portable language (such as a shell script, Ansible, on anything else). Once a job is simply a program which can run in any system, you will find it is easier to avoid vendor lock-in as well as make it easier for developers to independently reproduce and iterate on jobs.
