Agenda:

  1.  The Scalable Metal Service: Open infrastructure for the open community.

Here's a short overview on a project to provide free access to bare metal compute infrastructure, mediated by OpenStack, for supporting development in the open source community.  The Scalable Metal Service is inspired by previous projects.  Putting the service aside, the implementation itself is intended to be a showcase for new capabilities - multi-tenant bare metal, bare metal Kubernetes, resource reservation, monitoring, preemption.
  2.  Proposal to sleep this meeting for a several months – overlap with telemetry meeting may make this lower priority.
