Hi Everyone, We've just had the Edge Computing Group weekly call earlier today. As the working group has just reached a milestone by publishing our 3rd whitepaper, we started to explore what comes next! We are still in the brainstorming phase, ideas that came up in our conversation today include: - Reference architectures - Building Edge AI systems with open source and OpenInfra projects - Using AI to enhance performance at the edge - Role of edge computing and edge AI in future networks - OpenInfra projects and Edge AI - Robotics at the edge What would you like to work on as a next step? The working group has been set out to explore the technology area of the intersection between edge computing and AI, to understand the demands, needs, requirements and start building the architecture models that can support them. Hi Everyone, The working group participants are currently focusing on writing a new whitepaper. Along with that goal we spent today's call as a working session to go through content and comments that people contributed to the document so far. During our conversation today we focused on areas such as strategy to define terms like 'edge' and 'AI'. We also went into a bit of detail on our desire to cover hardware considerations, and the group gravitated towards having follow-up articles to do deep dives on certain topics that the paper doesn't have the bandwidth to cover. Hi Everyone, Thank you to all of you who were able to attend the call today. The group focused on the Edge & AI whitepaper on the weekly call today. We are still in the brainstorming and information gathering phase, which is open for one more week, and we threw out some more thoughts, ideas and preferences for the paper. Hi Everyone, The group focused on the Edge & AI whitepaper on the weekly call today. As we are still in the brainstorming and information gathering phase, we had a short meeting. Hi Everyone, We' had a great call this Monday where we kept focusing more deeply on the new whitepaper in the topic area of the intersection of edge computing and AI. We are still in the brainstorming and information gathering phase, which will be followed by setting a scope and timeline. Hi Everyone, We' had a great call this Monday where we focused more deeply on the new whitepaper in the topic area of the intersection of edge computing and AI. As we are still in the brainstorming phase, we have been collecting topic ares and have been debating the scope of the paper. We also discussed the opportunity of planning for multiple papers, as it seems like we might have enough content for that. Hi Everyone, We've just had the first Edge Computing Group call in 2025! Meeting attendees focused on a new goal, which is to write and publish a new whitepaper in the topic area of the intersection of edge computing and AI.
