Hi all, In today's meeting, we received a suggestion to get a requirement list and collect requirements on edge, after comparing and analyzing the existing features in OpenStack, StarlingX and other edge projects. Zhu Rong from ZTE already had some and even had patches to fix them, but they are not in the upstream yet. Do you think if it makes sense to initiate and create such a list for edge WG? Hi Shane, Thank you for starting this thread. I think it would be worthwhile to create a list of edge requirements that projects could use as input on what to work on/prioritize. Do you already have a few items listed somewhere public or you’re looking for a place to store them? The working group has a git repo and Storyboard project as well so we can put items on the wiki and utilize other tools as well from there to put things into action if needed. Does Zhu Rong plan to upstream those patches you mentioned? Is there anything we can help with to make it happen? Thanks, Ildikó

Hi Flavio, The repo is currently empty as the group’s artifacts are mainly on the wiki: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Edge_Computing_Group You can find the repo here: https://opendev.org/osf/edge-computing-group The Storyboard project is here: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/project/1094 My thought was that if we want to build a list of requirements and work on solution ideas we could store them in the repo unless they are specific to an OpenStack or StarlingX component as then we should work on the details there.
